Entrepreneurial Region

PODREG encourages entrepreneurship for all residents across the region, supports interesting projects, and strives to find technological and innovative leaders. To maximize the impact within the region, we have teamed up with other organizations supporting entrepreneurship, created the Start-Up Community, and together we assist startups, emerging entrepreneurs, and small to medium-sized businesses with streamlining their entrepreneurial beginnings.

Startup Community 

Regular meetings of actors who cultivate entrepreneurship in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Local government, local action groups, non-profit organizations, representatives of universities and professional consultants, mentors and coaches – all of them meet to coordinate activities in the field of promoting business and entrepreneurship.

CEE Startup Network 

Cross-border platform connecting business support actors in the Moravian-Silesian Region, Žilina Region and Silesian Voivodeship. We are building a strong and internationally competitive startup environment from which everyone can benefit: start-ups can access various business support services, enter foreign markets, use valuable contacts to mentors, investors and get feedback on their business plan. On the other hand, thanks to start-ups, corporations can find new and original solutions to their challenges, get in touch with talented entrepreneurs and discover new investment opportunities. We are working to let the world know about all the talented people and entrepreneurs in the participating regions and showcase the dynamically developing environment here.

Start It in MSR

The Start It in the MSR project focuses on supporting budding entrepreneurs and start-ups through high-quality individual consulting and mentoring services (e.g. design sprints or Startup Expand). The combination of ten diverse measures offers a comprehensive and targeted approach to support the development and growth of these new entrants to the entrepreneurial scene in the MSR, which has traditionally lagged behind in the number of entrepreneurs compared to other regions in the country. The activities reinforce the changes in this development and fit synergistically into the transformation efforts in the region. The project is funded by the European Union through the National Recovery Plan.
