The transformation of the Moravian-Silesian Region has been a frequently discussed topic in recent years. Do you know why this transformation is necessary, why the change in the local economy is so important, or how the Moravian-Silesian Region compares to other regions? These and many other questions are answered in our first comprehensive overview titled Fact Sheet 2023/2024 – Innovation Ecosystem in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
Whether you are a resident, entrepreneur, student, or employee, the innovation ecosystem affects you directly or indirectly. It significantly impacts your daily activities, such as the availability of job opportunities, the quality of services and education, and the region’s attractiveness for investors, researchers, and large companies.
After examining the publication, you will find that the Moravian-Silesian Region is still some distance from innovation leaders. However, efforts are being made to gradually close this gap. This is due to the ongoing efforts of the region’s innovation ecosystem stakeholders to support the development of the region’s innovation and entrepreneurial potential. As Steve Jobs once said, “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower,” and he was right.
Through the information provided, we aim not only to give you insights into the current state and development of our region but also to highlight its need for growth. The long-term prosperity of our society is based on the ability to create and continuously utilize new knowledge and technologies in a way that increasingly minimizes the environmental impact.
The Fact Sheet is a product of the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Center, the Silesian University in Opava, the School of Business Administration in Karviná, and young entrepreneurs from the Rokkr agency. This collaboration illustrates the potential for cooperation among innovation ecosystem stakeholders, which we have long been striving to achieve through our activities. The data presented comes from relevant and publicly available sources.
Our intentions with the Fact Sheet are to:
