INNOVATION SAFARI

  • for students of the 2nd grade of primary school or students in secondary school and 1st-year students of higher vocational schools

The aim of the project is to support entrepreneurship in schools, to broaden students’ horizons when deciding on their future careers, and to introduce them to the secrets of business and modern technologies.

The workshop lasts 4 hours and is divided into three parts:

PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE. In the first part, we will introduce participants not only to the possibilities of entrepreneurship and the role of the MSIC in its support but also to what the innovation ecosystem actually is and how it works. The focus can always be tailored to the school’s needs; for example, we can address topics such as sustainability/circular economy, digitalization, or introduce older students to the creation of lean canvas business models.

EXEMPLARY STORIES. Once we cover the useful basics, it’s time to visit two representatives of innovative startups – often enthusiastic individuals with interesting stories who are not afraid to share both great moments in business and their mistakes.

INSPIRATION IN THE FIELD. The third part takes the form of a tour of an interesting place related to entrepreneurship, innovation, and the like. Our steps may lead, for example, to the prototype workshop of the IdeaHub, the manufacturing center of the Invent Medical, or the Smart Factory of the VŠB-TUO.

The Innovation Safari is co-financed by the Smart Accelerator MSK project, reg. n. CZ.02.01.02/00/22_009/0008169.
