NEW FORM OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN LINE WITH CURRENT LABOR MARKET TRENDS
  • Effective education for technical fields

Talent Attraction Management included the international project Effective Education system of digital tools for VET in technical sectors. Its main outputs are educational modules, called EduBoxes, which facilitate the teaching of teachers of technical subjects in secondary schools.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The project ran from 1 January 2022 to 31 October 2024 and aimed to create innovative educational content that is easily accessible and upgradable according to the latest trends in the Czech and international context. The main idea was to provide educators with digital and soft-skill competences that they will apply to the actual teaching of students, and to make their preparation for teaching professional subjects more effective. This is done through educational modules that are stored in a virtual library – an application that can be downloaded to computers and mobile devices. The project has developed current topics on alternative drives or heat pumps.

For the creation of EduBoxes, we worked with companies that know the current needs of the labor market best. The main partner of the project was the Secondary School of Industry and Trade Academy in Bruntál, which has extensive experience in preparing EduBoxes. Other partners were Šolski center Nová Gorica in Slovenia and Středná priemyslná škola Myjava in Slovakia. The project was funded by the European Union and the Erasmus+ grant.

IMPLEMENTATION

The implementation of the project lasted almost three years, where we strived to develop effective educational systems and the use of digital tools in technical education. This resulted in a number of important milestones:

· New partnerships: Together with the Secondary School of Industry and Trade Academy in Bruntál, we have established new partnerships with foreign institutions in Slovenia and Slovakia. These collaborations contributed to the exchange of experiences and best practices.

· Creation of EduBoxes: We have created 15 new EduBoxes – interactive educational modules for teachers of vocational subjects in secondary schools. These modules represent a modern approach to teaching and allow teachers to better engage students in the learning process.

· Inspiration from partner countries: During the project we drew inspiration from partner organizations and their stakeholders in the field of education, especially from Nova Gorica (Slovenia), Myjava (Slovakia) and Bruntál (Czechia).

· Dissemination events: We organized several dissemination events for the public, among which the final conference at ImpactHUB stood out. These events enabled sharing of knowledge and experience with the wider public.

· Tutorials and webinars: We recorded tutorials for each of the EduBoxes and at the end of the project we summarized everything in a short webinar that provided participants with additional valuable information and guidance on how to use our outputs. You can watch it HERE.

LONG-TERM IMPACT

Innovation in education has been our priority since 2020. We also draw inspiration from the Basque organization TKNIKA, which we visited during our inspiration trip in 2021. The Moravian-Silesian Technology Academy has been established in the Moravian-Silesian Region and will continue to develop these educational tools for secondary schools.
