EnviBooster for Startups: The Right Step Towards Innovation and Sustainable Region

Expert know-how, a network of contacts, managed internal processes and, of course, a paying customer. When you set up a startup, there are many goals on the horizon that you want to achieve. The journey to them is sometimes long and winding. That’s why we have a shortcut for sustainable technology projects in the form of EnviBooster. But be warned, applications for this year’s edition close on 31 January!

EnviBooster Accelerator Program offers a mix of activities that help startups grow and prepare them for the challenges they most often face at the beginning of their business. Over the course of 11 weeks, participants will learn how to validate a product, find opportunities in the market, build a financial plan, or even how to present to investors. But it’s not just about the workshops, there are more than enough reasons to participate:

Contacts, contacts and contacts again

Thanks to the program, you will meet our experts, potential investors and representatives of major companies such as IKEA Czech Republic and FEB Ventures. You will get the opportunity to present your project to them, get feedback and use effective matchmaking to open doors to new business opportunities and markets. At the same time, you will become part of a global startup community. And what’s more?

Know-how and a hefty dose of inspiration

Mentors are selected for their knowledge and experience to help you overcome real challenges. We have for example lawyers, tax or marketing experts, and startup guides who always pull out the ace in the form of sound advice for your strategic growth. Other participants – some from Czechia, others from abroad – can be an endless source of inspiration.

The Moravian-Silesian Region is undergoing a transformation into a green and smart region with an emphasis on sustainable economy and innovation. It offers a large range of opportunities for the application of new technologies that can contribute to this transformation and, consequently, to improving the quality of life of its residents. Therefore, if you decide to relocate to Ostrava and actively do business from here, we can provide you with more favorable conditions to do so.

Zero participation costs

You can join the program for free, as the costs will be covered by de minimis support. As it happens, however, it won’t be completely without work here either. From the submitted applications, we will select the best applicants and invite them for an interview. The keen eye of our committee will ensure that the final line-up of startups is brimming with potential for sustainable business.

Who we’ll fit right in with

We select from early-stage startups (founded between 2019-2024) that focus on clean-tech, green-tech, envi-tech or circular economy. They can be from Czechia, as well as from different parts of Central Europe or more distant locations. However, it will require a work visa/residence permit. The team around the startup should have up to twenty members, funding up to 500,000 euros and an almost finished MPV. So, do we have a deal?

First things first or what you should know:

• The official language of the program is English.
• Participation is free, you just need to meet the admission requirements and impress the committee.
• The program begins on 20 March and runs until 3 June 2025.
• To successfully complete the program, we require at least 80% participation in online workshops and 100% participation in face-to-face meetings in Ostrava.
• Registration closes on 31 January 2025.

How it all started

EnviBooster 2025 builds on our pilot program from last year. The first year focused on three key dimensions: individual mentoring, community support and thematic learning. This concept has received positive feedback from all parties involved, and we are successfully continuing it this year. Participants will again focus on developing their business, get the opportunity to engage with partners from the region and meet members of the MSIC IN community.

In the last EnviBooster, we had the honor to work with startups ARBO Technologies, BFT, s.r.o., Sources-Matter, Sparksflow.io and Technology Institute of Plasma Application. The winner of the final presentation was Sources-Matter and they won tickets to one of the biggest startup events SLUSH in Finland.
